In their day-to-day routine, shipping companies are subject to numerous demands from government agencies for the performance of their activities in Brazilian waters. Once established as a Brazilian Shipping Company (EBN), it is authorized to operate and will be audited annually to remain authorized. Their vessels and crew, must also meet specific standards to act in Brazilian waters, whether they are Brazilian flagged or not.
